Game Conservation - Vermin Control - Habitat Preservation - Clay Pigeon Shooting
All members of Dunderry Gun Club are fully insured through the NARGC Compensation Fund which protects farmers and land owners.
The main aim of the club is to conserve wild game and habitat in our local area. We go some way towards this by rearing and releasing game birds into the wild. In the past few years we have successfully reared and released thousands of pheasants, mallard and partridge and we now have a vibrant wildbird population in our area.
We must of course thank all the farmers who allow the club members access to their land. Without them there would be no club. In return, our members are involved heavily in vermin and pest control. We regularly hold vermin shoots across club lands and this helps control the population of Grey Crows, Pigeons, Rats, Mink, Foxes and Magpies.
